At Three of a Kind, we craft solid kitchen islands from genuine recycled timber that are both versatile and multifunctional, bringing warmth and character to the heart of your home. Designed to enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of your kitchen, our islands can be customised to suit your specific needs. They offer additional counter space for meal preparation, baking, or serving and can be designed with drawers or open shelving to store cookware, utensils, or pantry items. They also serve as a casual dining or gathering spot, pairing beautifully with barstools or chairs to create a welcoming hub for family and guests to enjoy while cooking and socialising.

We can seamlessly integrate your appliances into the design, accommodating sinks, cooktops, dishwashers, wine fridges, or even built-in bins for a tailored, functional solution. If space is limited, you can consider a mobile kitchen island on wheels that can be moved when needed.

Our Signature Kitchen Island...

Our signature kitchen island is crafted from premium wide-board recycled Oregon. It features breadboard ends, square legs, a durable frame and a stringer/footrest for added comfort and durability. They can be customised by adding drawers, shelves, hooks and towel rails. Custom ordered kitchen islands can include fully integrated dishwashers, sinks and even stove tops.

Below is a selection of kitchen islands that we've made over the years. A visit to our showroom will allow you to point out the style of cabinetry that you prefer. Alternatively you can put together your own 'storyboard' with your favourite clippings from magazines to paint a picture for us of your dream kitchen. Accompany this with some rough diagrams of your required configuration so that we can give you a quotation.

Timber Bench Top

We added the timber bench top to the bright, white kitchen island adding warmth to this modern home.

Kitchen Island

The customers sourced a marble top for this kitchen island and we created the base from recycled Oregon. It is on castors so that it can be easily wheeled around and also used to serve from.

Recycled Timber Island

A kitchen island with storage on one side and an overhang on the other for seating. This island can be used as a breakfast bar and adds additional storage to the kitchen/dining area.
